Cocoa & Kiwi Wedding Cake

Congratulations Audra & Ryan! Audra had a cocoa & kiwi color scheme for her wedding. She wanted a very simple chocolate cake. I had trouble getting the fondant the right shade of green so I ended up using a real ribbon. I am so happy with the way it turned out!

A close up of my calla lilies. They are my mom's favorite :)

Cakes for Kids!

Today I had a kids cake class at Micheal's. I think all the girls cakes turned out really well. Jessica made a cake for her Aunt Patty's birthday. Ally made a soccer cake for a party tonight. She is on the a team called the Stoners and they kick butt! My cake is all about liking cake. Elena (she's shy) made a cake for her brother. Blue is his favorite color and she put lots of fun designs on it. Great job girls, your cakes look awesome!

Damask Wedding Cake

Congratulations Amber & Chris! Amber had a Damask theme for the wedding. Using stencils I painted the damask designs onto small diamonds of fondant. Amber used fake flowers for the wedding party's bouquets and had a few left over to use on the cake. The cake ended up turning out pretty nice.

Love the Arts Cake

This is the cake I made for my music teacher, Phil Mancini's, summer picnic. The name of the school is "Love The Arts!" so I really wanted to make that POP on the cake. So I decided to make it POP out of the cake in a celebration!

I hand painted the sheet music to the song, "Music Hour". I thought it was appropriate since the song is all about practicing your music lessons. Unfortunately I ran out of room to write the lyrics in the sheet music.

A close up of the roses, they always look so pretty on a piano. I am so proud of this cake because it was my own design and it turned out better than I expected!

Tammy and Jeff's Wedding Cake

Congratulations Tammy & Jeff! This is the finished cake after the florist added the fresh flowers. I think the florist did a nice job with the placement.

Here is the cake before the fresh flowers were added. The cake had three tiers of red velvet and two tiers of white cake all covered in butter cream icing then fondant. Next, I covered the cake in piping gel and sprinkled each tier with sparkling sugar for a very soft and elegant look.
